1 April 2019

Be your best at the beach with vibrant and colorful Tommy Bahama swimwear for Spring/Summer 2019. From women’s resort ready one and two-piece styles and cover ups to men’s trunks and hybrid shorts, Tommy Bahama swimwear delivers breezy island fashion. Just add water, a cool drink and a warm smile to relax in style. Here are the key trends this season:

Retro Glamour: With Tommy Bahama, every woman can be a pinup girl in timeless and sexy one and two piece silhouettes that meld yesteryear chic with contemporary, figuring flattering allure. Poolside glamour starts with flattering styles with bold details like an asymmetrical cut one-piece with a dramatic ruffle neckline in a rich green jewel tone. A graphic black and white floral print brings the halter top one-piece to life, while a retro tropical print gives a bikini with flirty ruffle cap sleeved top and side-tie bottoms a timeless feel.

Fit to Print: Tommy Bahama is known for their rich tropical prints and beautiful florals patterns and this season is no exception. Prints are custom designed in house by a team of artists who are inspired by island foliage and flowers. A plunging, double V one-piece in a coral print or a white lace-front strapless maillot with a bold multi-hue, hibiscus floral pattern let you stand out from the vacation crowd. A tonal blue blossom print on a textured one-piece bandeau with side shirring is perfect for lounging by the pool.

Fun Flips: Tommy Bahama has perfected reversibles! The lifestyle brand maximizes fashion and minimizes packing with reversible swimwear that multiplies your options. The mix and match saturated botanical prints with a bold geometric trim reverses to kicky stripes for two looks packed into one sexy swimsuit. Multicolor one and two-piece tropical prints reverse to bright coral/white gingham with lace-up back detail. The athletic styled high neck top on the two-piece is another of the season’s hottest trends.

Ginghams & Geos: Fun & flirty ginghams, updated stripes and old school tie dyes are delightful alternatives to prints and solids. Gingham check styles swings from athletic to retro in a high-neck top paired with side tie bottoms, and Tommy Bahama’s signature underwire halter bra that ties at the neck and back for a perfect fit paired with a high-waist skirted bottom. Stripes on a textured pique fabric create a flattering illusion on an underwire bandeau bikini with molded foam cups and side-shirred bottoms or a strapless one-piece bandeau with tie front detail. An ocean blue tie dye string bikini that reverses to a mosaic geo print is perfect for those who love a beach worthy classic.

The Beach & Beyond: Tommy Bahama men’s styles are always classic, yet never boring. Men can choose from timeless swim trunks, board shorts and hybrid styles in bold colors, versatile patterns or strong solids. The Naples Flamingo Coast is an elastic waist band, 6-inch trunk embroidered with tiny pink flamingos. The Cayman Hula Sunset is a longer length hybrid that’s styled like a short with belt loops and a fixed waist, but made from a quick dry swim fabric to take you from beach to café with ease. All styles have the bonus of UPF protection and practical pockets for sun essentials.

Cover Up, Show Off: Tommy Bahama offers a variety of cover-ups that are up for any summer task, from cabana to cocktail hour. These quick dry dresses, oversized comfy boyfriend shirts or robe-style wraps offer effortless summer style. A lightweight woven dress with eyelet detailing and key hole back in a rich coral is a must have to keep you cool and covered. A rainbow chevron stripe scarf dress is the perfect daytime to dinner friendly cover-up. An oversized striped boyfriend shirt that can be worn as a swim cover up or paired with denim is another exciting and versatile piece. A variety of rash guards and hybrid active wear for men and women is available to complement the entire swim collection – and offers the bonus of UPF protection.

This season, Tommy Bahama makes packing simple with printed and solid swimwear to suit any pool or pub, as well as reversible looks, timeless silhouettes and cover ups that play in the sun or shade. With Tommy Bahama swimwear, the island lifestyle has never been more alluring.

A new season is a perfect excuse for a closet refresh, and the retailers at Freshfields Village are bringing in trendy, new styles daily. Say hello to spring with these five fashion trends, inspired by runways around the world…..

Pick A Print
Designers debuted bold statement prints at their spring shows, but patterns are always in style– just ask Lilly Pulitzer. The iconic fashion label has released fresh, spring prints featuring avian-inspired styles emblazoned with flamingos and cockatoos. This spring, you’ll also see aquatic prints of cool blue koi fish and mermaid scales from the iconic brand.

New Hues
After a fall and winter season dominated by black, grey, burgundy, plaid and deep reds, it’s time to lighten up with soft pastels. On-trend colors for spring include pale yellow, golden yellow, bright orange and mint green. This Paradise sleeveless dress from Tommy Bahama is the perfect yellow hue for this season’s color trend.

Step It Up
Elevate your daily look with a pair of trendy spring shoes that go beyond the sandal. Coastal inspired loafers and boat shoes will help you make waves this year and promise to be a perfect complement to the resort-style outfits you already have in your closet. Dressed up or down, these shoes give off the sophisticated yet comfortable vibe. Check out the Sperry spring collection at Coastal Footwear.

Fringe Fever
Fringe is fashion’s newest staple this spring and promises to be a hot trend this spring season – popping up on runways on everything from shoes to jackets. Go bold with a flashy fringe dress or keep it classic with fringed cuffs and collar like this J.Mclaughlin jacket.

Style Your Shades
Get shady this season with sunnies like the micro-cat eye, 80s throwback visor sunglasses or mirrored glasses in silver or gold. If you want to try a bold look, red-tinted sunglasses can make you stand out. You can find these mirrored aviator sunnies at Holly & Brooks.
