Get into the festive spirit by writing a letter to Santa and sending it off at Freshfields Village! Now through December 19, guests are invited to post their letters to Santa in a special red mailbox located near the Christmas trees on the Village Green. What is a better pair than fall fun and a furry friend? Celebrating autumn with your dog in costume! It’s time for Dogtoberfest at Freshfields Village. Come celebrate the season in the lowcountry with this annual event. Dress up your pet and join us on The Village Green for a pet expo and dog costume competition. Visitors can meet, greet, and give back, with local rescue groups and pet vendors in attendance. This special event is taking place on Saturday, October 28 from 1 to 5 p.m., just in time for Halloween.
Pet Costume Contest
There will be plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, including an adoptable meet and greet, pet vendors, and a costume contest for your furry friend. Dress up your pup in their spookiest or most adorable Halloween costume for the pet costume contest at 4 p.m.! A Local Favorite: Freshfields Village Annual Art Walk

Picture this: you’re strolling through The Village taking in the whimsical brushstrokes and vibrant colors of awe-inspiring creations by local and visiting artists. Join us on Friday, February 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for our annual Art Walk. This event will feature live art demonstrations and works from local and visiting artists throughout participating retail shops. To top it all off, there will be live jazz music, too!
Below is a list of participating stores and artists, so you can start planning your day. Be sure to check back here for any additional announcements. We can’t wait to get artsy with you!
- Start your stroll by stopping into Aubergine Home Collection, where local artist Sara Jane Reynolds work will be on display! She draws her inspiration from the beauty and richness of places such as Kiawah itself. Get inspired and maybe leave with a Plein Air painting or two!
- Kick-off the day at Coastal Footwear, featuring work from artist Julie Wheeler. Stop in for some shoe therapy and meet Julie Wheeler while you’re at it. Maybe you’ll even leave with one of her traditional canvas paintings, murals or coasters!

Freshfields Village Celebrates Furry Friends With Dogtoberfest
1 October 2022
Freshfields Village is paws-itively thrilled to announce its annual Dogtoberfest on Saturday, October 22, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to benefit pet rescue organizations in the Lowcountry!
The festival will feature an adoptable meet-and-greet with local rescue groups, pet vendors, and an adorable pet costume contest. There will also be music and entertainment throughout the day!
Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs out to enjoy the festivities and enter the pet costume contest for an exciting prize. Contest begins at 4pm. In addition, on-site vendors will provide food and beverages for purchase during the event.
Dogtoberfest’s proceeds will go to participating pet rescue organizations: Charleston Animal Society, Dorchester Paws, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Southern Tails for Precious Paws, LowCountry Lab Rescues and Grateful Goldens Rescue.

Back by popular demand! Happening every Friday in July and August from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The free, family-friendly concerts feature regional bands, including Carolina Beach music, Motown, Top 40, Country, and more! Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Freshfields Village Farmers Market
Stock up on the freshest produce this summer at our Farmers Market. Happening every Monday in July and August from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Cars & Coffee
