The shops at Freshfields Village aren’t just for mom and dad. Make it a day for the whole family with a variety of kid-friendly stores, festivals and activities your little ones will love. Our center is located in close proximity to the beach, so you can enjoy the sun, sand, and salt and then come relax in the Village! Here are five ideas for planning your next family-friendly adventure.

Go on a Shopping Spree
Shop stylish clothes for kids at Sugar Snap Pea, offering boys and girls fashion clothing from infant to tween. Next, head over to Wonder Works, Freshfields Village’s locally-owned and operated toy emporium. Discover the selection of over 2,500 specialty toys, gadgets, books and gifts that are sure to captivate the imaginations of children of all ages. Round out your shopping spree with a trip to vineyard vines get spring break ready! With items that’ll take you from the beach to the boat and everywhere in between, they have you covered.

Stay Active
Just like the Energizer Bunny, kids have nearly inexhaustible energy, and keeping them entertained for a day out can be a challenge. Fortunately, there is plenty of space for children to run and play at Freshfields Village. Grab a frisbee, football or other outdoor game at SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters and hit the Village Green in the middle of the village for a fun-filled afternoon.

Rock Out at Our Concert Series
On Friday, April 19th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., bring the whole family to our annual Spring Music on the Green for an exciting evening of live music. Adults can sit and socialize, while the kids play and make new friends. Eat an early dinner and then stop for ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s before heading over to the Village Green. Don’t forget to bring a chair or blanket. The Summer Music on the Green series returns with a special two-night event on May 24th and 25th and continues every Friday evening from June through August.

Meet the Easter Bunny at our Spring Festival
Our annual free Spring Festival returns on Saturday, April 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Children can enjoy inflatable games, face-painting, balloon animals, spring crafts and the opportunity to join an interactive band on stage. Local food vendors will serve tasty treats including BBQ, popsicles, sno-cones, and kettle korn, while the Easter Bunny hops through the Village. Be sure to snap some photos with him! Additionally, St. John’s Fire Department will be hosting their annual Spring into Safety event. Teach your kids about fire safety with tours of the fire engines, fire extinguisher training, and more.

Learn Something New
Keep their minds and bodies active while on vacation! STUDIO 33’s kids yoga classes are a fun way to teach your children healthy habits and keep them active. The Springtime Kids’ Yoga Workshop will be held on April 7 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In addition to their kids workshops, STUDIO 33 also offers a variety of adult pilates, barre and yoga classes. Or head to Palmetto Scent Studio for a candle-making session. Kids can select their favorite scents, mix to find the perfect combination, customize their label and take home a unique souvenir.
