KC Double Take’s Family-Friendly Itinerary at Freshfields Village

22 July 2025

Steal the itinerary that Kenzie and Carol used to enjoy an evening of family fun

Kenzie and Carol Carter, a stylish sister duo sharing fashion and family life, are always out finding the latest fashion trends, exploring a new cafe or spending quality time with their family. We partnered up with them to highlight the best of The Village and they’ve crafted some excitable itineraries for friends and families to enjoy

A visit to Freshfields Village always offers the opportunity to create lasting memories. Made even better with good food, local shopping and family-friendly fun. With a mix of seasonal programming, delicious bites and plenty of space to unwind, The Village offers the perfect backdrop for a laid-back outing with the whole crew.

Here’s a look at how the Carter crew spent an easygoing evening filled with food, games and fresh-air fun.

Reel Good Time Bingo

KC Tip: Pack a blanket and settle in for some family fun.

If you’re visiting in July, be sure to catch Reel Good Bingo before Movies on The Green, a family-friendly double feature that brings out the laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of feel-good moments. The Carter family joined in for both complementary events, soaking up a sweet Lowcountry evening under the stars.

If you find yourself at Freshfields outside of July, events like these happen regularly. Whether it’s Bingo, a movie or live music, The Green is the place to be when the sun starts to set.

Dinner Picnic from La Tela Pizzeria

KC Tip: A pizza picnic is always a good idea.

Before Movies on The Green kicked off, the Carters swung by La Tela Pizzeria to order their favorite wood-fired dishes to-go. With their meal in hand, they headed to The Green, our open-air communal green space, to claim a spot for dinner. Complete with their blanket, bites and a breeze, they were ready to take on the evening events.

Not craving pizza or pasta? Pick up your favorite meal from one of Freshfields’ many delicious restaurants (tacos? sushi?) and enjoy it on The Village Green because every meal can be made a picnic at any time of day.

Movies on The Green

Movies on The Green

KC Tip: There’s something happening in every season.

After dinner, the Carters wrapped up their evening with a movie under the stars—one of the summer’s most beloved traditions at Freshfields. Movies on The Green brings families together on warm evenings with feel-good films, fresh air and a relaxed, community vibe.

Freshfields Village is known for its family-friendly events that run throughout the year. Depending on when you visit, you might catch:
