Welcoming You Back to the Village

20 May 2020

As shops and restaurants begin to reopen, we’re looking forward to welcoming guests back to the Village! We continue to keep the health and wellness of our community a top priority and with that, all businesses here at Freshfields have been tailoring services to follow safety guidelines and recommendations. As of July 1, 2020, based on Town of Kiawah Ordinance, all patrons and employees are required to wear face coverings inside businesses and while waiting to be seated at restaurants. We encourage the use of masks outdoors where social distancing can not be maintained.

Upon your next visit to the Village, you’ll see we’ve put some new measures in place. Signage has been placed throughout the Village and we ask guests to be mindful and adhere to new regulations as we reopen in a safe manner.

ON THE VILLAGE GREEN

We ask that all guests practice safe social distancing while enjoying the Village Green and outdoor spaces. We are maintaining safe sanitation practices throughout interior and exterior public areas and have installed hand sanitizer stations for guest use.

While we work hard to ensure the Village remains as safe as possible for visitors and staff, we have paused our regularly scheduled events. However, smaller scaled events are scheduled for the holiday season. Details are available online! We ask that all guests enjoying our holiday entertainment wear masks and socially distance.

CURBSIDE PICKUP

Restaurants and retailers are still offering curbside pickup options. For the convenience of our guests, we have reserved parking spaces for curbside pickup. Please utilize the designated spaces marked with “curbside parking” signage when coming to pick up your online/phone order.

RESTAURANTS + RETAIL STORES

We ask that guests practice safe social distancing inside retail establishments and restaurants. Each retailer has posted the current customer occupancy at their front door. Based on occupancy restrictions, customers may be required to wait outside. In that event, you’ll find sidewalk decals in place for any retail stores or restaurants that may have to form lines. Individual businesses may have additional safety requirements for their guests. A full list of current hours of operation is available online.

GENERAL UPDATES

We will continue to maintain safe sanitation practices throughout the Village. Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the property. While your furry friends are still welcome, please remember that your pets should always be on a leash.

Thank you for your cooperation and support during this time!

Treat Mom To a Pamper Package This Mother’s Day

5 May 2020

A day dedicated to the woman in your life, Mother’s Day reminds us to appreciate, honor and celebrate the moms that make a difference in our lives throughout the year. This Mother’s Day may look a bit different from past traditions, but it offers the opportunity to give mom a thoughtful gift or experience and show her how much you appreciate her every day of the year.

Giveaway Package
This year, we’ve teamed up with Charleston Shop Curator on a curated Mother’s Day giveaway package with all the pampering mom could want. We’re giving away over $800 in gifts from 13 of our Village retailers and restaurants, so head on over to Instagram to enter and give your mom the best gift of all. The contest will close Wednesday, May 6 at 9 pm!

For those looking to pick up a special gift or have a fun and safe day outdoors, there’s plenty you can still do here at the Village.

Dine Alfresco
Restaurants around Charleston are now able to safely offer outdoor dining, in addition to continuing take out orders. FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen, Java Java, King Street Grille and Ladles are now offering limited patio seating. Beginning Saturday, May 9, Hege’s will join the list and open their patio for dinner service.

If you’d like to treat mom at home, many of our restaurants are offering pick up options including a special Mother’s Day Dinner from Hege’s. Pick up a meal to go and bring Mother’s Day brunch or dinner to mom at home for the day. Be sure to call individual restaurants in advance for both pre-orders and reservations. You can view the full list of restaurant offerings here.

Shop Local
By shopping locally, you can gift mom a thoughtful present while supporting the community around you. Shops at the Village have a number of ways for you to select the perfect gift for the mothers in your life with curbside pickup, delivery, virtual shopping, and online shopping. Visit our website for a list of virtual and online shopping options for a little inspiration!

Even if you can’t physically be together on Mother’s Day, a virtual celebration can be just as special. There’s still time to get gifts delivered before Sunday! Some of our retailers, like Palmetto Scent Studio, are offering free local delivery or shipping options.

As some of our retailers have reopened, they are offering special in-store promotions for Mother’s Day. All moms and mothers-to-be who stop by Holly & Brooks May 8-10 will receive a FREE gift.  View the full list of retailers’ current specials here.

We know Mother’s Day this year will look a little different, but the love and appreciation for the mothers in our lives are just as strong! This time at home has allowed us all to adjust how we carry out our daily activities, so lets adapt to make holidays and family occasions just as special during this time. Whether that’s sharing a meal (in person or virtually), gifting a present she’s been eyeing or just spending time on the phone or video chat, we know she’ll appreciate it!
