Soak in the Summer: 21 Must-Do Village Activities

We’re nearing the final stretch of summer, likely quicker than most of us would like. That means getting out (safely!) and making the most of it. 

We’ve been working hard to ensure visitors can stay and feel safe while visiting the Village. So whether you’re a local who hasn’t explored the island or a visitor planning your next trip, here is our summer checklist, full of activities to squeeze every last bit of fun out of the season.

1 – On your way to (or from) the Village, stop by the Angel Oak for a look at a 500+ year old tree.

2 – Grab a new swimsuit at Las Olas–both women’s and men’s available!

3 – Pick up a new beach read at Indigo Books

4 – Waft into Palmetto Scent Studio and snag a summer scent, mix up your own blend or get a headstart on fall and grab a seasonal scent!

5 – Pamper Fido with a trip to Dolittle’s–grab a new seasonal collar, supplies, treats, toys, and more. Or hit the self-serve bath station after a morning on the beach!

6 – Pick up a summer souvenir at Islands Mercantile.

7 – Snag some accessories for the next time you’re the host at Doin’ the Charleston.

8 – If you haven’t had The Station’s breakfast burrito yet, you’re missing out! Stop by to grab one on your way out to Beachwalker Park.

9 – A loaded sundae from Vincent’s Drugstore & Soda Fountain has your name all over it.

10 – Sip on an iced caramel macchiato from Java Java on the Village Green.

11 – Get your sushi fix with a to-go order from Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill. Bring it out to the beach for a seaside picnic!

12 – Enjoy a rosé tower while relaxing on FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen’s outdoor patio.

13 – Enjoy some French fare while dining al fresco at Hege’s.

14 – Take in the beauty of the island from bike, kayak or paddleboard (rentals available from SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters) – maybe you’ll get lucky and get a glimpse of our local wildlife.

15 – The Village Green is the perfect spot to do just about anything–relax, throw a football, take your pup for a walk, enjoy a coffee; the possibilities are endless!

16 – Find all of our photo-op worthy spots (Hint, hint: the Instagram-worthy spots don’t stop at the Village Green)

17 – Catch a sunset on our lakeside dock.

18 – Book a staycation at the Andell Inn–hello waterfront pool views!

19 – Start the day on a positive note with Studio 33’s morning lakeside yoga class held daily at 9:00 am at the Lakeside Park.

20 – Head to Urban Nirvana for a Hyaluronic Hydrating Facial–ultra-hydrating after the high temps and gives skin an instantly plumped, smoother appearance.

Freshen Up Your Space with GDC Home
