Art Walk

Join us on Friday, February 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for the annual Art Walk. Residents and visitors are invited to watch live art demonstrations and view works from local and visiting artists in participating retail shops. Plus, enjoy live music as your stroll through the Village during the event.

Mitch Schlimer Artography will be at Andell Inn! Mitch has been on a journey, driven by one singular goal and mission, and that is to one day leave this world a little better off from being here and to live a life of purpose especially making a difference in the lives of others while leaving a legacy that will help others to “Live Their Dreams” as Mitch also believes that “That Through Artography, Everything Is Possible”.

Cantina 76 will be hosting local artist, Sarah White! Sarah is an independent artist who is known as “Swhitey”.

First National Bank will be hosting local artist, Alicia Colella. She is a contemporary visual artist who specializes in pen and ink and acrylic mediums.

FortyEight Wine Bar & Kitchen welcomes local Charleston colorist and impressionist, Danielle Cather-Cohen. Her paintings evoke various moods in order to transport the viewers to the center of their being.

Artist Pat Huff will be at GDC Home! All of my her paintings represent her travels with loved ones and artist friends, or her time spent at home on the coast of South Carolina!

Holly & Brooks will be hosting local artist, Vicki Parry.

Imagine Home will be hosting three artists, Amy Schwarz, Heather MacQueen Jones, and Susanne Robinson. Amy enjoys painting a variety of subjects and especially enjoys painting beachscapes, oceanscapes and water. Her artwork reflects the things she loves in life. Heather MacQueen Jones is an accomplished artist with a passion for transforming emotions into captivating visual narratives. Heather is not just an artist; she is a storyteller who weaves emotions into every piece, creating a meaningful connection between her art and those who experience it. Susanne Robinson is a contemporary abstract artist based in Kiawah Island, SC and Raleigh, NC. Her artwork is about joyful exploration and the element of surprise, so each piece conceals unexpected details and hidden narratives.

J.McLaughlin will be hosting local artist, Capey Freeman. She tries to paint what she see but “dreamier” and aspire to produce looser and looser images of the light, nature, and figures that present themselves in her world.

Jae Larsen will be live painting at Johnny Was during the art walk! Johnny Was will also be having a Raffle from 4pm – 7pm for a $150 gift card, no purchase necessary. Requirements will be name, phone number and email address. The winner will be announced by 10am the following morning.

Kiawah Nail Studio

Kiawah Spirits welcomes Patricia Bisceglia from Molly Joseph Fine Art! A mother and daughter duo that have a local art business with prints and cards of Kiawah, Seabrook and areas of the Low country.

Lilly Pulitzer be having a live painter, Kellen Ledford,  in their store. She will be painting something  Kiawah themed and they will raffle the painting off at the end of the day, no purchase necessary. Just come on in and have some sips and sweets and watch her paint!

Salt Marsh Animal Hospital will be hosting artist, Lisa Cook.

Seacoast Sports and Outfitters is hosting John Walters of Witzel Art for the annual Art Walk. They will provide complimentary beverages. Bring your artistic eye to shop beautiful art and great apparel!

Jeanne O’Neal will be at Southern Tide Kiawah. She was raised as a Naval Commander’s daughter and gained many perspectives after living in numerous locales. She is now a local Pawleys Island gal with a flare and passion for landscapes. For years, Jeanne painted with watercolors and her new obsession is painting with oils. In her studio, she lets the world slip away and gets into a creative zone by experimenting, blending, comparing, and mixing.

Danny and Wendy McLaughlin, with ‘Big Art from a tiny house’ will be at Spartina 449.  Danny is a C of C Fine Arts graduate and specializes in realistic expressionism.  He was also a King St. art gallery owner for several years. He will also be doing a live painting portion outside of Spartina during the event! Wendy’s style is abstract neo-expressionism, as well as contemporary realism.  Wendy’s pieces are very low country, celebrating this area.

The Co-op will be hosting the artist, Majestic Jay who brilliantly fuses youthful vibes with cutting-edge style. His art blends the oil-on-canvas approach and retro technology into a modern aesthetic. Jay’s work creates a mesmerizing space where old meets new, offering a distinctive and captivating artistic journey.
