Freshfields Village Annual Art Walk with Local and Visiting Artists

Freshfields Village is thrilled to announce our annual Art Walk on Friday, February 18th, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. This event will feature live art demonstrations and works from local and visiting artists in participating retail shops. Did we mention there will also be live jazz music? What more could you ask for!

Below is a list of participating stores and artists so you can start planning your day! And be sure to check back here for any additional announcements. We can’t wait to get artsy with you!

Kick-off the day at Coastal Footwear, featuring work from artist Julie Wheeler. Stop in for some shoe therapy and meet Julie Wheeler while you’re at it! Maybe you’ll even leave with one of her traditional canvas paintings, murals or coasters!

In the mood for a food tasting? Head on over to Doin’ the Charleston for some light bites and the chance to meet artist Lisa Justice! The store will be featuring her custom aprons, coffee mugs, ornaments, picture frames and coasters.

Stop into Faherty who will be hosting artist, Sam Sidney, originally an illustrator, he recently began working with felt and freehand cut pieces to create portraits of celebrities, pets, food and drinks.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! So why not head over to FortyEight – Wine Bar and Restaurant to see artwork from the fabulous Danielle Cather-Cohen with a glass of wine on the side!

If you’re a fan of oil and acrylic artwork, see artist Kristina Malkawi at First National Bank. Her pieces will be sure to blow you away!

Do a little clothing and artwork shopping at J.McLaughlin, hosting artist Elizabeth Horne.

In need of a candle and some art? Head to Palmetto Scent Studio and meet Johns Island artist Ruthie Beberman-Sumpter. Shop her abstract paintings as well as high-fired pottery pieces!

Stop into Holly & Brooks to see artist Tina Mayland whose work is represented by the Wells Gallery at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island and by Lowcountry Artists Gallery in downtown Charleston!

Nobody is going to want to pass up a complimentary spirit tasting! Join us at Kiawah Spirits to see artist Patricia Bisceglia of Molly Joseph Fine Art.

Stop by SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters to see artist John Walters of Witzel Art. He is a local Charleston artist inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry and influenced by the romantic South. And it gets better—guests can enjoy complimentary beer from Low Tide Brewery. 

Showroom will be hosting the George Gallery from downtown Charleston. You absolutely don’t want to miss this opportunity!

You do not want to miss Tammy Medlin at Southern Tide Kiawah! Tammy is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The American Impressionist Society, and is an exhibiting member at the Charleston Artist Collective and Charleston Artist Guild Gallery. Enjoy some complimentary sparkling wine while you’re over there too!
