Dog-Friendly Charleston: Freshfields Village
1 July 2023
This day and age pups are like people, so why not pamper them as such? Every day is a dog’s day at Freshfields Village! From pet-friendly shops to beautiful green spaces like The Village Green, walking trails and a dog-friendly beach, The Village and Kiawah Island are a great place to bring your pup. Read below for a few places to take and treat your furry friend at Freshfields.
Enjoy a Treat
First thing’s first… treats! Grab a Doggie Dessert from Ben & Jerry’s, or stop by Dolittle’s to treat your pup to a brand new toy. Start your visit to The Village with a satisfied furry friend and show them just how dog-friendly Charleston really is.
Visit Salt Marsh Animal Hospital
If your dog is feeling under the weather or just in need of a check-up, The Village’s Salt Marsh Animal Hospital is here for you and your furry friend. Veterinarian Dr. Wiles offers a comprehensive list of services and often has same day appointments available. Dr. Wiles believes “there is nothing like the love we share with our pets” and here at Freshfields, we couldn’t agree more.
Take Them for a Walk
Take your pup on a stroll around The Village to take in all the sights, and most importantly, all the smells! Freshfields loves our furry visitors, so your pup will definitely be getting many pets and belly rubs. Pro tip: stop and snap a picture of your sidekick on one of the famous Freshfields turf chairs!
Check Out the Pet-Friendly Shops and Patios
Treat your furry friend to a doggie date! Many of our shops are pet friendly, so your pup can tag along while you meander your way in and out of stores throughout The Village. Plenty of our restaurants also welcome your dog to dine alongside you on their pet-friendly patios. You can find the pet-friendly shops and restaurants by spotting the emblems on the store doors and on our website.
Don’t forget to check out Beachwalker Park, a dog-friendly beach just a few miles from The Village. Furry friends make the best models, so while you’re snapping a picture of your pup enjoying the lowcountry outdoors, tag us on social media (@freshfieldsvillage)!
