Patricia Reno Huff Gallery is pleased to present Haitian artist, Duns Sylvaince. Through the month of May, a selection of his paintings will be on display and for sale in the gallery.
Duns Sylvaince was born in Anse-a-Galets on the island of LaGonave, 10 miles off the coast of Haiti in 1969. Duns paints the beautiful scenery of his home as if it has just rained. His paintings tell a story of his island and the life of his people. The scenes depict the daily life of an island people fishing, boating, celebrating , and enjoying family life. This self-taught artist captures the culture of his people and his home and his own sense of hope.
