November 26 - December 20

Letters to Santa

As Santa arrives on Friday, November 26, Freshfields Village invites guests to drop Letters to Santa in our special mailbox this holiday season. The mailbox will be located near the Christmas Trees on the Village Green and the letters will be delivered directly to Santa via his elves. For each letter received from November 26 through December 20, Freshfields Village will donate $5 to the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center in Charleston.

Be sure to include your return address with your letter to receive a special surprise from Santa! Parents, if you prefer to email your address, please email Santa at freshfields@northwoodretail.com.

About Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center

The mission of the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center is to prevent abuse, protect children and heal families. Children and families have a safe, child-friendly, place to turn when there is a concern about abuse.

In 2020, Dee Norton served 792 children from Charleston and Berkeley counties, including 98 children and families from Johns, Wadmalaw, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands – despite the limitations of the pandemic. For these children from the islands, we provided forensic interviews for 25 children; medical examinations for 45 children; mental health assessments for 7 children; and 106 evidence-based treatment sessions for 7 children. All Dee Norton services are provided at no cost to the family.

Together we can change the world, one child at a time. For more information, visit www.deenortoncenter.org.
