How to Spend a Weekend at Freshfields Village

Whether you’re planning a staycation or a vacation in Charleston, SC, we’re happy to welcome you! To make the most of your time here on Johns Island and Kiawah Island, we’ve put together this weekend itinerary so you can relax and unwind.

Friday Afternoon
Whether you’ve traveled from far away or just down the street, start your vacation off feeling refreshed and energized! Step into Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery for some IV hydration therapy or a facial. Why not both? Find more about their services, hours, and offerings on our website.

Friday Evening
Wind down and get the weekend started by grabbing a glass at FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen. With 48 exceptional wines by the glass and 48 local and regional craft beers, as well as a full cocktail bar and delicious menu, there’s so much to sample, share, and enjoy. Plus, outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the beautiful lowcountry weather during the springtime.

Friday Night
Dinner time! And good news – we have endless options from which to choose. In the mood for Mexican? Check out Cantina 76 for tacos, margaritas, and Mexican-inspired tasty dishes. Craving sushi? Fuji offers authentic Japanese cuisine, signature sushi rolls, and traditional hibachi entrees. Is Italian calling your name? La Tela serves up Neapolitan style pizza, homemade pasta and fresh local ingredients! Don’t forget to save room for dessert and savor a sweet treat at locally-owned Ben & Jerry’s.

Saturday Morning
Start your Saturday getting pampered! Choose from booking a massage at Urban Nirvana or Indigo Health, a blow-out at Urban Nirvana Hair or a mani-pedi at Kiawah Nail Studio. However you relax while on vacation, it’s all available right here at The Village.

Saturday Afternoon
Time for lunch! Select a sub at Jersey Mike’s or grab a sandwich at The Co-Op. Their Italian, California Turkey, and Veggie Sammie are fan favorites and don’t forget to pair it with their infamous housemade frosé! Still hungry? Belly up to the diner counter at Vincent’s Drug Store and Soda Fountain to order a classic milkshake to cool off for the afternoon. When you’re ready to walk around, go shopping at our large selection of retailers!

Ready to get your mind or body moving? Choose from renting bikes from SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters to explore Kiawah Island, make a custom candle at Palmetto Scent Studio, or take an inspiring art class at Patricia Reno Huff Gallery & Art Studio. Beyond dining and shopping, we have plenty of options to play while on vacation here at The Village.

Saturday Night
After you’ve worked up an appetite with your afternoon activities, it’s time to indulge on another great meal. If you’re a fine dining fan and looking for classic French cuisine, head to Hege’s and enjoy their seasonal menu featuring fresh, seasonal, and local products. Aiming for American? King Street Grille has juicy burgers, king size sandwiches, and chopped salads all on their in-house, scratch made menu.
