Letters to Santa

While Santa is social-distancing at the North Pole, Freshfields Village invites guests to drop Letters to Santa in our special mailbox this holiday season. The mailbox will be located near the Christmas Trees on the Village Green and the letters will be delivered directly to Santa via his elves. For each letter received from November 23 through December 18, Freshfields Village will donate $5 to the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center in Charleston.

Be sure to include your return address with your letter to receive a special surprise from Santa! Parents, if you prefer to email your address, please email Santa at freshfields@northwoodretail.com.

About Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center

The mission at the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center is to prevent abuse, protect children and heal families. Children and families have a safe, child-friendly place to turn when there is a concern about abuse. Primary services include providing immediate support and assistance to children and families through forensic interviews, medical examinations and mental health assessments as well as immediate support and coordination. The center also provides evidence-based therapy to child victims and their families.

In 2019, Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center provided services for 1,269 children from Charleston and Berkeley counties including 109 children and families from Johns, Wadmalaw, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. For these children from the islands, we provided forensic interviews for 58 children; medical examinations for 43 children; mental health assessments for 18 children and their caregivers; case coordination with community partners for 63 children; and 93 treatment sessions for 8 children. All Dee Norton services are provided at no cost to the family.

Together we can change the world, one child at a time. For more information, visit www.deenortoncenter.org.
