Art & Wine Walk

Join us on Friday, February 14 for the annual Art & Wine Walk. Residents and visitors are invited to watch live art demonstrations, view works from local and visiting artists, and enjoy live jazz music and tastes of wine in participating stores. In addition, guests can enjoy a special exhibit on the Village Green featuring Benjamin Walls. Information about the weekend-long exhibit can be found here.

Beija Flor Jeans welcomes local abstract artist Beverly Blume Smith.

Cantina 76 will host Seabrook Island artist, Julie Fellers-Green, who will display original pieces featuring the coastal, Lowcountry and Charleston scenes.

Visit Coastal Footwear to meet Charleston artist, Fer Caggiano, during the Art & Wine Walk. Fer Caggiano is creative and compassionate, as colorful and compelling as her paintings, and her work has been showcased worldwide. Her work will be on display throughout the weekend.

Y’all know Michael Cyra, the owner of PhotoGraphics who has photographed thousands of families on Kiawah and Seabrook Island. Michael is also a gifted fine-art photographer and oil painter who will be featuring both art forms at FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen for the Art & Wine Walk all weekend long.

Holly & Brooks welcomes Cathy Myers, a watercolor and oil painter whose art reflects her experiences living in the Northeast as well as her experiences from her years spent in the Southwest and the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Cathy’s work is comprised primarily of landscapes and still life pieces, but her works include a broad array of subject matter. In addition, Columbia artist, Debbie Martin, will display a number a pieces throughout the weekend.

J.McLaughlin will host Johns Island artist, Sara Jane Reynolds. As a plein air painter, her inspiration springs from the beauty and richness of the untamed landscape in the Lowcountry. In addition, local Seabrook Island photographer, Ron Chamberlain, will display a collection of his work.

Leggiadro will be showing the work of two fine artists during the Art & Wine Walk. Judy Elias, a part-time Kiawah Island resident, will display a variety of original paintings. Judy enjoys plein air painting as well as studio work. The South Carolina & Texas Hill Country landscapes and architecture are among her favorite subjects. Arie deZanger, an internationally acclaimed professional photographer, has been practicing his craft for over 50 years. His specialty has been still-life and food photography and his work has been seen on hundreds of book covers. Both artists will be at Leggiadro to meet and greet with wonderful stories to share.

lululemon welcomes local Charleston artist, Jenn Griffith, during the Art & Wine Walk. Stop by the store again on Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for a special Valentine’s Creation Station featuring smaller prints of her artwork.

Stephanie Mitchum of Soil & Savvy will be showing off her wood, oyster and floral & foliage art pieces at Palmetto Scent Studio. During Friday’s Art & Wine Walk, you can custom-make hand-painted blessing beads and keychains! Soil & Savvy pieces will be on display and available for purchase at the studio throughout the holiday weekend.

Scout & Molly’s welcomes Johns Island artist, Brooke Caruso of Rainbow Row Fun! Designs, who will display her coastal-themed pottery and canvases. Stop by to enjoy sips and snacks and meet Brook on Friday 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters will host Charleston Collegiate School showcasing students’ artwork from the CCS Fine Art Department. Each year, CCS students create over a dozen plays, more than a hundred films, and well over a thousand painting, sculpture, photography, ceramic, wood and metal works of art. The students’ work will be displayed throughout the entire weekend. The shop will also host Charleston artist, Suzanne Leonard. Each piece is handmade, original and exceptionally unique. Her work will be displayed throughout the weekend.

Tammy Medlin is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The American Impressionist Society and an exhibiting member at the Charleston Artist Collective and Charleston Artist Guild Gallery and select works available at One King’s Lane. Enjoy seeing her artwork at Southern Tide Kiawah all weekend long.

Visit STUDIO 33 to meet Noel Poff and view a collection of his photography. A local of Charleston, SC, and teacher at STUDIO 33, Noel Poff began taking photos in early 2009 while taking a cross country road trip from his former hometown of Beaufort, SC to Huntington Beach, CA. Like many he wanted to record his new experiences in different parts of the country. A simple photograph though wasn’t enough. Noel wanted ways to capture the essences of where he went and the feelings the environments evoked in him. Now Noel uses the camera to do just that and help promote appreciation for the natural world as well as the potential for human beings to live in harmony with it. Five percent of all sales are donated to the National Resources Defense Council, The Sierra Club Foundation, and The Rainforest Alliance.

Visit Timbers Kiawah to meet local Johns Island artist Patricia Huff. Her paintings represent travels with loved ones and artist friends, or time spent at home on the coast of South Carolina studio painting and plein air painting.
